VR

Adventure Time "I See OOO" VR game for mobile gaming.
I work with a amazing team of 3D artists to produce environments and props for the game that stays true to the recogisable Adventure Time style.
Producing assets for mobile VR is challenging, rendering twice things quickly add up and with the limitations of Mobile hardware you have to be careful how you approach the development for the 3D assets.

Most of the assets were created with flat coloring texture a type of colour pallet, as apposed to everything having it's own texture.  This means we cut down on draw calls for textures and materials.  UV mapping the assets with slightly darker/lighter/saturated and desaturated colors allowed us to give the impression of extra lighting and form on the assets when there actually was very little.
We also had to be extremly tight when it came to poly counts.  Again our toon shader and lighting set up actually worked to our advantage, as smoothing groups that otherwise would not look smooth  were coming through flattened out.  Combining this with our UV mapped shading we really achieved a look that was true to the Adventure Time TV show style.
