I have created video trailers/attracts using After Effects to compose and edit the video. I used Photoshop and Particle Illusion to create animations and art for the video. In this example about 95% of the art work was produced by another artist. What I did was edit this content to create animations e.g. they had a image of a balloon, which I took and created frames of the balloon bursting to add some life to the project. Similarly I took their image of a party popper, edited it slightly, then added particles for popping particles to give it some life and movement.
On my "Animations" tab some of these have been polished in After Effects. E.g. 'Pick Me' bottle. The bottle was 3D, the particles are 2D which are brought together in After Effects to create the end piece.
